EPGM203 is manufactured by hot-pressing alkali-free glass fiber mat impregnated with high-Tg epoxy resin, featuring a randomly oriented chopped fiber structure that delivers exceptional electrical reliability and mechanical stability. As a Class F epoxy glass mat laminate, EPGM203 stands out for its outstanding heat resistance, superior insulation, and robust mechanical performance, making it the insulation material of choice for high-end electrical equipment including motors, transformers, and switchgears.

1. Outstanding Thermal Resistance

Long-term continuous operating temperature: ≤155°C (Class F), in full compliance with IEC thermal standards to satisfy the demands of continuous high-temperature equipment operation.

Short-term thermal peak resistance: up to 180°C (Class H), ensuring stable performance under transient high-temperature conditions with excellent retention of mechanical strength at elevated temperatures.

Glass transition temperature (Tg): 165°C±5°C, resisting softening and deformation in high-temperature environments to preserve structural integrity.

2. Stable Electrical Performance

Dielectric strength: ≥14kV/mm; breakdown voltage in oil at 90°C: >60kV, with consistent insulation performance even in high-humidity environments to eliminate leakage risks.

Volume resistivity: ≥10⁹ Ω·cm, maintaining low leakage current under harsh humid conditions.

Flammability rating: UL 94 V-0, self-extinguishing upon ignition with no toxic fume emission, meeting stringent safety requirements.

Excellent arc resistance and tracking resistance; Comparative Tracking Index (CTI): 600V, ideal for high-voltage electrical applications.

3. Reliable Mechanical Properties

Tensile strength: ≥250MPa; uniform chopped glass fiber reinforcement provides excellent impact resistance and high resistance to brittle fracture.

Flexural strength: ≥380MPa, retaining stable rigidity at high temperatures to support critical equipment components.

Dimensional stability: low coefficient of thermal expansion, minimal distortion under high-temperature and high-humidity conditions, enabling tight machining tolerances.

Machinability: compatible with CNC milling, drilling, punching, and other precision machining processes for cost-effective fabrication of complex components.

4. Weather and Chemical Stability

Water absorption: ≤0.5% (24-hour immersion), highly resistant to moisture for reliable performance in outdoor or humid environments.

Chemical resistance: compatible with transformer oil, hydraulic oil, alcohols, ketones, and other media, with no swelling or cracking.

With its well-balanced performance, EPGM203 is widely used across four major industries: electrical equipment manufacturing, new energy equipment, rail transit, and industrial automation. Key applications include:

1. Core Insulation Components for Electrical Equipment

Motors / Generators: slot wedges, stator end insulation blocks, brush holders, armature parts, movable cover plates, ensuring zero insulation failure during continuous 155°C operation.

Transformers: insulation spacers, coil supports, oil duct blocks, oil-resistant and heat-stable for long service in dry-type and oil-immersed transformers.
