EPGC308-A Special Glass Epoxy Composite with High Temperature Resistance
EPGC308 is an epoxy resin laminate usually in the color of yellowish-brown or light yellow. As a high-performance electrical insulation material, it demonstrates high-temperature resistance, high mechanical strength, and stable electrical performance under high humidity conditions.
A key feature of EPGC308 is its high-temperature resistance, which extends up to 180°C. This material utilises a high-temperature-resistant epoxy resin system, specifically a modified high-temperature-resistant resin. Its epoxy molecular structure is denser and exhibits a higher degree of cross-linking, making it resistant to softening and degradation at high temperatures.
WHAT ARE EPGC308 BENEFITS
Heat resistance: Class H-grade heat resistance, capable of withstanding temperatures up to 180°C over extended periods, —far exceeding G10 and G11.
Excellent mechanical properties: Maintains high mechanical strength at medium and high temperatures, with a thermal strength retention rate exceeding 50%.
Stable electrical performance: Maintains reliable insulation resistance and dielectric strength even under high humidity and water immersion conditions, making it suitable for damp and outdoor environments.
Excellent machinability: Suitable for precision machining processes such as cutting, drilling, and milling, enabling the production of various insulating structural components.
Electrical tracking resistance: Exhibits excellent electrical tracking resistance (CTI) performance, making it suitable for high-voltage applications and environments with tracking risk.
WHAT IS EPGC308 USED FOR?
Motor/Generator: Grade H traction motors, large hydroelectric generators, slot wedges, insulating supports and end plates for wind turbines.
Transformer/Reactor: Insulation components, support bars, and shims for dry-type transformers and high-voltage reactors.
High-voltage switchgear/Transmission and Transformation: Insulating structural components and insulating plates for GIS, circuit breakers, and converter valves.
Rail transit: Insulation frames and heat dissipation substrates for traction converters and inverters in high-speed rail and subway systems.
New Energy: Photovoltaic inverters, energy storage converter (PCS) cabinets, and insulating brackets.
Other: Carbon brush support, high-voltage testing equipment, and electrical insulation of Class F or above with requirements for temperature resistancand tracking resistance.
